Shadowdark — Echoes of Ashmoor FULL

Traders along the Old Eastern Road have been disappearing near the borderland town of Ashmoor. With resources spread thin around the Empire, groups of seasoned Crawlers have been hired to take care of domestic problems. You are one such group.

You must journey to the farthest reach of the Empire to uncover the whereabouts of the missing traders; you must investigate the town for information, delve deep into ancient tombs & ruins to reclaim the lost relics and esoteric knowledge that will aid you in your quest. Will you be able to save the souls of Ashmoor, or will you yourselves be damned to serve in Abyssal torment?

This is an adventure for 4-5 Level 5 PCs. Shadowdark is a game with modern mechanics and an old-school feel, with inherent danger, split-second decisions and fast combat, so PC death is possible, but smart play is rewarded. The answers are in your mind, not on your character sheet. Distances are abstracted, with combat taking place in the theatre of the mind using some visual aids such as room sketches where required. The game will have some elements of body horror. You will pick a level 5 PC at the beginning of the session, and I will have a number of backup characters to pick from if your PC should meet an untimely end. Journey with me, my friends, and brave the depths and horrors of the Shadowdark!!

This first level adventure uses the Kobold Press D&D 5e Tales of the Valiant system incorporating the new doom and luck options for thrilling encounters. The characters will be hired by the old wizard Emil to travel into the mountains above Westers Crossing and retrieve lichen know as Old Wizards Beard and moss for his rheumatism on the way they will battle the elements, several new monsters that exist in the Vedder Press published game world and a group of Mountain men. Pregenerated characters will be supplied.

This is a play test of Old Wizards Beard as I plan to publish this adventure in 2025. You can find Vedder Press on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky etc. I'm not good at the attaching links to web pages.

Eons ago, under the leadership of the Bugbear Warlord Korrax Steelshank, the Horde ruled unchallenged. All trembled before the ferocity of the host he drove ceaselessly forwards. When he was cruelly slain by the feeble adventurers of the Realm, the Goblins fell to infighting, and splintered into warring factions.

Now, a vision has come in the night to the shaman of your tribe; the spirit of Korrax is rising! All able bodied Goblins have been called to take up arms, reunite the scattered tribes, and reclaim the glory of The Horde!!

In this Shadowdark Gauntlet, you will play the role of Level 0 Goblin minions, answering the call of their ancient hero. Your journey will lead you through treacherous wilderness; where you will be punished by the elements, ford dangerous rivers, fight off terrifying and deadly monsters, and make your way through a hostile village. Can you answer the call of the Horde, and bathe in the blood of your enemies? Or will you merely be yet another dead minion, nameless amongst the corpses?

The Gauntlet is a deadly adventure, where each player will have their choice of Goblin minion to play. If a PC dies, they can replace them from a pool of pre-generated characters. While death is likely, the odds are not insurmountable, and smart play is rewarded.

Wickedness is a fantasy-RPG from Possum Creek Games

We will form a coven consisting of 3 witches, each following a unique archetype - the innocent and gentle pure heart, the volatile and revelrous wild spirit, and the uptight scholarly Old Soul. Utilizing a tarot card deck we will draw cards which represent challenges and trials we must work together to face. In the first phase of the game we will draw cards to get to know our coven and its members, in the second phase we will face these trails together.

This game is dice-less and GM-less with 3 players and very light on mechanics you need to learn - focusing on collaborative storytelling and working together to solve problems - all players will take part in building the narrative we are playing. Anyone welcome who would like to see what cards fate decides to deal us!
