The 18xx family of games are railroad / stock market games, usually with no or very very little luck and heavy strategy. The object isn't necessarily to run the best railroad so much as it is to make the most money. This is a teaching event; games include Tom Lehmann's 1846 and Francis Tresham et al's 1830.
